Registering all YOUTH & HIGH SCHOOL players for all lacrosse programs including; Alabaster, Auburn, Briarwood Lions, Birmingham City, Helena, Homewood, Hoover (Spain Park & Hoover), Huntsville, John Carroll, Mountain Brook, Oak Mountain/Chelsea, Trussville and Vestavia.
Players living in areas outside community lacrosse programs or varsity high school programs should register as an 'orphan' and will be placed on a team based on GBYLA policy guidelines. For questions regarding team placement, please email
Cancelation / Refund Policy
NO refunds will be issued after FEBRUARY 1ST. Refunds issued prior to the deadline of FEBRUARY 1st will incur a 6% cancelation fee of the total registration cost paid at time of registration.
COVID 2020 Credits
If you are eligible for a 2020 COVID credit, the credit will apply upon check out. To view your credit status, please log into your GBYLA account and click on FAMILY. Please note the credit WILL NOT apply until check out. Please complete the check out process prior to notifying GBYLA of a credit issue.

All players must be a US Lacrosse Member to participate in a GBYLA program. US Lacrosse Annual Youth Membership is $30 and High School is $35. US Lacrosse Membership dues are paid directly to US Lacrosse and are non-refundable. Please click HERE for US Lacrosse member information or to look-up your member number. A membership may be renewed or purchased through the GBYLA registration process.

GBYLA Base Fee Includes:
- Game Officials
- Certified Athletic Trainers (14U and High School)
- Coach spring season starter equipment kit
- Coach education (US Lacrosse Certification)
- League operations, registration/website, D&O, storage
- Field expense
- Tournament Expense (Alabama Lacrosse Championship & Jamborees)
Community Add On Fee Includes (Add on fees differ based on the budgetary needs of each particular community/program):
- Field expenses (usage fees, lights, paint, etc)
- Equipment (goals, balls, etc)
- Coaching Fees (where applicable)
Fees DO NOT Include:
- Required equipment to play for boys & girls (see below for breakdown of required equipment)
- Uniforms (varies based on your local community lacrosse program and/or high school programs)
- US Lacrosse Membership (required for participation in any GBYLA program)
Small Sided Game Formats:
Boys 8U Format: 5 v 5 no goalie, no offsides, Face Off (2018 GBYLA small sided rules apply)
Boys 10U Format: 7 v 7 with goalie, offsides, Face Off
Girls 10U Format: 5 v 5 no goalie, players must hold for possession on the draw
Girls 12U Format: 8 V 8, modified field
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR FEMALE PLAYERS:
Per US Lacrosse Youth Girls Rules; earrings are prohibited during play. Please make sure your player is compliant with this rule.
Avoid issues by not newly piercing ears prior to or during the Spring Season.

YOU MUST HAVE A COMPLETED 2021 SPRING SEASON
REGISTRATION IN ORDER TO SUBMIT FORM BELOW.
ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE PAID IN FULL IN
ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A PLAY DOWN EXEMPTION.
Any form submitted without a valid
2021 spring season registration will not be considered.
All players must be fully registered (US Lacrosse membership and GBYLA registration) for the 2021 Spring Season prior to submitting the Play Down Request form.

We are accepting applications to 'PLAY DOWN' if there is a safety consideration based on the child's birthdate and division. Applications may be submitted once you have completed your child's Spring Season 2021 registration. Please only submit an application if there is a valid safety concern.
Mandatory Evaluation Date is Sunday, January 17th from 4pm to 6pm at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
