Registering all YOUTH & HIGH SCHOOL players for all lacrosse programs including; Alabaster, Auburn, Briarwood Lions, Birmingham City, Helena, Homewood, Hoover (Spain Park & Hoover), Huntsville, John Carroll, Mountain Brook, Oak Mountain/Chelsea, Prattville, Trussville, Vestavia, UMS.
Players living in areas outside community lacrosse programs or varsity high school programs should register as an 'orphan' and will be placed on a team based on GBYLA policy guidelines. For questions regarding team placement, please email

Participation Requirements:
All players must be a US Lacrosse Member to participate in a GBYLA program. US Lacrosse Annual Youth Membership is $30 and High School is $35. US Lacrosse Membership dues are paid directly to US Lacrosse and are non-refundable. Please click HERE for US Lacrosse member information or to look-up your member number. A membership may be renewed or purchased through the GBYLA registration process.

Fee Breakdown
GBYLA Base Fee Includes:
- Game Officials
- Certified Athletic Trainers (14U and High School)
- Coach spring season starter equipment kit
- Coach education (US Lacrosse Certification)
- League operations, registration/website, D&O, storage
- Field expense
- Tournament Expense (Alabama Lacrosse Championship & Jamborees)
Community Add On Fee Includes (Add on fees differ based on the budgetary needs of each particular community/program):
- Field expenses (usage fees, lights, paint, etc)
- Equipment (goals, balls, etc)
- Coaching Fees (where applicable)
Fees DO NOT Include:
NO refunds will be issued after FEBRUARY 1ST. Refunds issued prior to the deadline of FEBRUARY 1st will incur a 6% cancelation fee of the total registration cost paid at time of registration.
Small Sided Game Formats:
Boys 8U Format: 5 v 5 no goalie, no offsides, Face Off (2018 GBYLA small sided rules apply)
Boys 10U Format: 7 v 7 with goalie, offsides, Face Off
Girls 8U Format: 4 v 4 no goalie, no draw
Girls 10U Format: 7 v 7 no goalie, players must hold for possession on the draw
Girls 12U Format: 8 V 8, modified field
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR FEMALE PLAYERS:
Per US Lacrosse Youth Girls Rules; earrings are prohibited during play. Please make sure your player is compliant with this rule.
Avoid issues by not newly piercing ears prior to or during the Spring Season.
PLAY DOWN REQUESTS
We are accepting applications to 'PLAY DOWN' if there is a safety consideration based on the child's birthdate and division. Applications may be submitted once you have completed your child's Spring Season 2020 registration. Please only submit an application if there is a valid safety concern.

ALL players requesting to 'play down' must attend a mandatory evaluation Sunday, January 12th from 2pm to 4pm at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.
