Programs
The Greater Birmingham Youth Lacrosse Association is currently sponsoring the following programs and tournaments:

Spring Season - This is our main lacrosse season and in 2010 it involved 57 teams of boys and girls from 1st grade through high school in season play from February thru early May.

Dan Anderson Lacrosse Classic - Now going into its 8th year, this lacrosse tournament has grown from a 4-team tourney in 2004 to include over 63 boys and girls teams in 2010 competing in a weekend of tournament play. In 2010, teams participated from Huntsville, and the States of Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. The 2011 tournament will be held early Spring, 2011 at the Rathmell Mountain Brook Sports Park.

Summer League - In 2009 GBYLA sponsored its first Summer League Season. It ran for 5 weeks from mid-June thru late July, and involved 90+ boys going into the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Teams played 8 games and ended the season with a championship tournament. In 2010, Summer League expanded it's divisions to include 3rd through 10th grade boys. Total enrollment for Summer League 2010 was 159 boys grades 3-10.

Fall Lacrosse
- Having now completed five years, Fall Lacrosse offers an opportunity to introduce new players to the sport and provides existing players a chance to refine their skills in scrimmage play. In 2009, Fall Lacrosse involved over 700 players
who participated on six
Sunday afternoons of instruction and scrimmaging from late September to
early November and was held at the Rathmell Mountain Brook Sports Park. Fall Lacrosse 2010 registration will start August 16th. Registration numbers are expected to exceed those of 2010!
The GBYLA Website also contains information on local camps and clinics throughout the year, as well as, out of state camp opportunities during the summer months. We are constantly working on new and exciting programs for our youth players, so please stay tuned to the website for up to date program information.
