Trent Chrane was born in Houston, Texas but his family settled in Birmingham when he was just six weeks old. Trent has always been involved in many sports, but beginning his freshman year of high school, Trent found his niche was Lacrosse.

Coach Dan Jordan, a former college lacrosse player, started the club team at Spain Park. Janis Chrane, Trent’s mother had this to say about Coach Jordan: “Dan is very devoted to all the lacrosse players and has spent many extra hours helping Trent to improve his skills.” In addition to school practices, his mother adds, “Trent has worked very hard at home, hitting against a wall constructed by his father to develop the use and strength of both hands for passing, catching and shooting.”

Last season, Trent was captain of the Spain Park Lacrosse Team and was voted by teammates as the Best Mid-Fielder and Most Valuable Player. “Trent is extremely athletic, so the game of lacrosse came very natural to him. His self discipline to train and perfect his skills has made Trent one of the premier players in the Southeast,” said Coach Jordan.

Trent is also a member of BAMALAX, an Alabama State select team coached by Chris Cos. This team competes all over the U.S. against other state teams, and will travel this month to Atlanta to play in a showcase tournament.

This past summer, Trent was selected to go to the University of Maryland to play in a TOP 205 showcase camp. He was also invited to play on a team of 22 players from across the U.S. put together by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the Gait Cup at Gettysburg College.

Most prestigious though is being chosen as an Adidas All-American, and receiving scholarship offers from many Northeastern teams including Providence and Navy. As of writing of this article, Trent has made a verbal commitment to play at Navy.

“Lacrosse is a sport he wants to stay involved with his whole life. He looks forward to being able to someday give back and help Coaches Jordan and Cos to further the game of lacrosse in the southern states,” says Trent’s mother.
